This time, the unusual heat affecting France will not extend to the UK, where the weather pattern will be rather different. The UK is likely to remain closer to the Atlantic weather pattern, with more changeable conditions and temperatures closer to seasonal averages in many areas as autumn begins.
Hot air mass for the autumn equinox
The area of high pressure is set to strengthen over France and next week will extend towards the British Isles and the North Sea. The air mass will warm considerably as the days go by. Next week, temperatures higher in the atmosphere over France will often be around 10°C above seasonal averages.
