Sunday morning weather: UK to see lots of sunshine to finish the weekend as temperatures rise in Scotland.

The weekend has so far brought a cooling of temperatures, with most places seeing afternoon highs in the mid-20s. A northerly breeze is also helping to bring a fresher feel to the air, and some rain to eastern and northern parts of the country. Today looks set to be slightly warmer, so what’s the weather going to be like in your area?

Pressure charts today look similar to yesterday, with high pressure continuing to dominate helping conditions to remain largely clear and dry over most parts.

The current weather set-up has also resulted in a keen northerly breeze that’s helped temperatures to cool down compared to earlier this week when parts of the UK say over 10 days of heatwave conditions.

This breeze continues to impact northern parts of the country the most, with Scotland dropping to overnight temperatures in the single digits, with some places even see grass frost first thing this morning.

Elsewhere, it’s a mix of cloud and clear skies for majority of England, Wales and Northern Ireland to start the day. There is also more in the way of blue skies this morning compared to yesterday, meaning it’ll be a pleasant summer Sunday for most.
