Ocean Heat Content (OHC) is the total amount of thermal energy stored by the oceans, acting as the main reservoir for the excess heat generated by climate change.
The oceans absorb more than 90% of the heat trapped by greenhouse gases, playing a key role in regulating Earth’s climate.
