A dramatic turnaround in the UK’s weather is on the way this week. After a blustery and unsettled start, conditions will shift quickly as high pressure builds, paving the way for sunshine and an early taste of spring warmth across many parts of the country.

The week will begin on a cloudy and breezy note on Monday, with the most unsettled conditions across northern and western regions. Early bright spells in eastern England will soon fade as cloud thickens from the west and scattered showers develop, some turning wintry over higher ground.
A warm front pushing in from the Atlantic will bring outbreaks of rain to Northern Ireland during the morning, gradually spreading across Scotland, north Wales, northern England and parts of the Midlands by the afternoon.
