The high-pressure system’s reign across the UK is coming to an end soon, and with that, temperatures are likely to drop in the coming days. An active weather front associated with the low-pressure system north of Scotland will track southwards through the country today.

As the cold front sweeps southwards, clouds and showers may even reach England by this evening. Meanwhile, thick clouds and widespread showers, which may turn heavy at times, can be expected through much of Scotland.
