After a much cooler night across the UK, where temperatures dropped to the single figures in some northern rural areas, many across the country are enjoying a little bit more of a cool down compared to earlier this week. Will these cooler temperatures be matched by an increase in rainfall?
Many Brits, particularly in the South of England, enjoyed a much more comfortable and cool night last night as a cold front finally brought cooler air to these southern areas.
Many areas also received showery rain overnight, particularly in the North of Scotland, adding to the cooler and fresher feel in the air at the moment.
Rain dominating in the north this Friday Through the rest of the morning, skies will be partly cloudy across the South East of England but will quickly dissipate as the sunshine becomes stronger and weather front passes. This will allow for plenty of sunny spells across England and Wales by late morning and early afternoon.

Some sunny spells will develop in more northern areas, but cloud will remain prominent in Northwestern England and much of Scotland as well as a westerly onshore breeze continues.
