Hurricane Humberto heads towards the UK bringing some potentially stormy conditions this week, could Storm Amy arise as a result?

Early on this week, we will see a north, south split, with plenty of wet weather expected across north western parts of the country through the week. Across England and Wales, it could be largely dry and settled, although towards the end of the week,
Tuesday will start off damp with outbreaks of rain across parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland, with cloud extending across much of the northern half of the UK. Further south, it should be drier and sunnier once any mist and fog patches clear.
Turning cloudier more widely by the afternoon, although some brighter spells are still possible, with patchy rain continuing across Northern Ireland and Scotland.
